If you like special effects, you should check it out. Everything feels second-rate to me, like the acting, the believability, and the whole story, and I thought that was a bit of a shame.
A bit of a standard action flick, fun to watch once, that's all. It's not really a special story or great acting.
Obviously a film before the financial crisis. At least I can only hope that since then directors are a little more aware with their money. A hundred million dollar budget for such a film is just a joke. You can't put an average first script into a multi-million dollar production. I like watching airplane movies. Ancient or modern, existing or futuristic, it doesn't matter to me. The effects are good (allowed for the amount, of course), except that you can only enjoy the occasional show. The characters are annoying rather than evoking any sympathy. The robot is a copy of the robot from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Including the lip-singing scene. Apart from a few silly twists and turns, the movie is pretty predictable. I barely watched the second half. Medium.
Funny sight. The special effects look elegant and are visually well put together. The proposed action is also good. But the story and acting are significantly lacking. The story is very simple and the acting was not always convincing. Still 2.5 stars, for fun.

This is a fantastic movie. It reminds me of good movies like "Top Gun" and "Firefox". Lots of action, great plot. Beautiful locations and great work by the special effects team. And this is another Jamie Foxx we see here after a comedy and biopic (musical). Jessica Biel is gorgeous as always and I am pleasantly surprised by the unknown Josh Lucas. It's a great movie for those who love art and flying.
Meanwhile, the movie is almost 10 years old and we've seen better things, especially from Jamie Foxx.
The only thing that really bothered me was that EDI was a "bad guy" at first, ignoring one command after another, but then suddenly wiping out all the targets. He ends up killing himself when he can shoot.

It's definitely a fun movie. Of course the acting isn't very engaging and the story isn't either, but the action scenes are just plain fun and I'm not bored for a minute, still pretty cool effects. Simply reset your mind and enjoy the action no more, no less.
I think it's a very bad movie. No suspense, no story, no decent special effects - at least not by today's standards. And there are no decent actors. Jessica Biel's pretty face is the only reason to watch it, but you better pick another movie for that.

Medium. It looks like the movie cost a lot of money to make and it shows. Although the flying scenes in particular are impressive, the story is not very good. Even if the actors try their best, they can't do much with such mediocre material. Foxx, Lucas, Biel, Shepard, etc. Fortunately, everything looks good and Stealth is a smooth movie for the rest.

The acting and the plot are surprisingly average, but a film like this also deprives you of budget and action. The whole thing is drawn a bit chaotically, but it adds something fun to the aerial combat. Some explosives are added to make it more explosive and these Hollywood movies don't need to do more.
You have to feel it out a bit and be able to turn off the right parts of your mind, but then it's all pretty fun. It's not a great movie, which you wouldn't expect from Cohen, but for once.
Most of Rob Cohen's movies don't get great marks, maybe he's just not that good of a director. This is a very average movie.

About 12 years later, I reviewed these 13 in a multi-action popcorn movie called Stealth. The film is nothing short of high-end to watch and it excels on all fronts. Just keep your mind at zero and then you will have a very entertaining movie. I enjoyed the movie a lot this second time, but it doesn't offer enough. 3.5
